Setting Up a Political Party in B.C.

Well the work has started. I have been reading the Political Party Guide to Registration (873).

A couple of things caught my eye:

1. Although many political parties choose to register as societies under the Society Act, it is not necessary to do this to register as a political party under the Election Act.

2. have a propesed name that is not prohibited under section 156.
