Burning My Fetters

Is the one thing I have recently discovered. I read about it years ago – I believe it was from an Introduction to Buddhism. Quickly scanning the internet this morning I found the following from a page of translations of the Atthakavagga.

The monk who delights in heedfulness and looks with fear at heedlessness advances like fire, burning all fetters, small and large.

If you look closely at the fire I built yesterday you can see my flaming head and hands at the top of the picture. I’m all for burning one’s fetters.

Oh yeah Iam (my nickname) The God Of Hell Fire
