Tough Act To Follow

Day one of whatever next is coming. The title of this post refers the mourning process, a mourning process, that is to follow. It will be tough. Last night wasn’t though it was very good. And that’s coming from The Emperor Of Nothing Is Good Or Bad Only Thinking Makes It So Land. But wait there’s more.

One of the daughters is trying to get me to watch “Gnomeo and Juliet”. She told me “Shakespeare’s in it”. Well Iam (my nickname) Meta4 (my brand). And when I was completely unable to explain the word metaphor to a Korean girl I thought I should look up the definition in Wikipedia. And I found this:

One of the most prominent examples of a metaphor in English literature is the All the world’s a stage monologue from As You Like It:

All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances; — William ShakespeareAs You Like It, 2/7[1]

This quote is a metaphor because the world is not literally a stage. By figuratively asserting that the world is a stage, Shakespeare uses the points of comparison between the world and a stage to convey an understanding about how the world works and the lives of the people within it.

This quote has repeatedly occupied my mind in the last 7+ months. So I kinda gotta watch Gnomeo? Not me? Not meo? …
